This session will introduce the principles of Restorative Just Culture and explore how they can be applied in everyday veterinary practice. Following a short 15-minute talk, participants will be invited into a facilitated group discussion to reflect on their own experiences and questions. Restorative Just Culture focuses on repairing trust and relationships after incidents by asking not “who is to blame?” but “who has been harmed, what do they need, and how can we put things right?” We will consider how this approach supports learning, psychological safety and meaningful accountability, and how it extends beyond incidents to influence leadership, processes and culture across veterinary teams.
